In 2005, we planted 1250 vines of clone 777 and 667 Pinot Noir on what was the site of an orchard of 100 different species on apple in the early 1980s. The vineyard lies atop of the now-underground Three Mile Creek. The rocky and sandy terroir allow these vines to produce our most remarked on wine, year after year. This wine was aged in our environmentally friendly maturation cubes with French oak. At Howling Bluff, we are committed to sustainable farming, because we live here.
